Working in tandem with the USTA marketing department to create editorial layouts for the US Open Series. The challenge was to create a layout unique from the ads while using the same player photographs, fonts, bus image, and color scheme. The “Road Trip” headline inspired a retro travel postcard treatment, with each of the locations on the itinerary represented within the letter forms. The players were photographed in different locations by different photographers, which at first gave a very inconsistent look to the layout. Relied heavily on Photoshop skills to color correct and to make other photo manipulations so the figures would appear natural when grouped together.
