brotherly love
The Gullikson twins were professional tennis players on the ATP tour. They played both singles and doubles (winning 10 career titles paired together as doubles partners) before becoming coaches later in their careers. While Tim was coaching Pete Sampras he began to have seizures and was eventually diagnosed with brain cancer. After his death, Tom started the Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation to supporrt brain tumor patients & their families. A hand tossing a ball is the movement that starts every point in tennis, and it here represents that a diagnosis of cancer is not an end, but a beginning. The vibrant colors are a salute to Tim’s courage, good humor, and possitive attitude of always looking towards the bright side regardless of the challenges both on, and off the court. T-shirt design used at the Nike Cup, a premier celebrity tennis event which launched the foundation.
