eau dangereuse
Part of a series of reimagined film noir posters focusing on an object central to the story rather than on any human characters. For Les Diaboliques the object depicted is a bath faucet. Alfred Hitchcock wanted to make this film he was so intrigued by the concept of a murder in a bathroom, though he thought the rights were too pricey for Les Diaboliques, and instead made Psycho. Hitchcock’s loss was Clouzot’s gain, and a gain for all of us who love suspense films — to get two murders in the salle de bain. A water drop icon was used to seperate the sub-genres.
